Welcome To The Holy Of
Holies
The Holy Of Holies as it is known at St Winifred is akin to
Hallowed Ground. Not only is it prestigious it also influenced
renowned libraries such as The Library Of John The Beheaded, The
Sycamore, as well as the famous Library of Aphasia circa 1066. It
is here at St Winifred Library that its doors opened to welcome The
Bard: William Shakespeare (Sir Francis Bacon), who bequeathed to us
in his will, his original plays and sonnets because he knew that St
Winifred is more than just a library: it is the ultimate sentinel
and custodian.
