Dear Pious and Puritan in Christ
Although we all know that women should
be seen and not heard, some times they have some thing worth saying
for their peers to listen to. After pricking my ears and finally
paying attention to Mother Superior's god awful whining regarding
how putting a Sister on penance wasn't fun any more since Jesus our
Spiritual Pontiff and His earthly Pope: our Blessed frail leader;
who wishes he could carry a frock as naturally as women do - had
banned public flogging.
Disciplining Sisters, Novices and Neophytes these days boils down
to a stern vocal warning, 24 hours or a month to six months of
Silence ( 12 months max if Mother was really incensed), just didn't
pull the same punch as a good old fashioned Puritanically Pious
Public Humiliation: such as a spirited Spanish Inquisitionesque
torture. Mother Superior finally got to her point and started to
lament the problem that arose upon hearing that one of the Sisters
had been reading Forbidden Writings and this is what she showed
me.
Be warned, the following information
could cause nausea,
vomiting or if you're of a frail heart: fainting spells.
