Valiant survivors in Christ,
"He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people,
and God Himself will be with them and be their God.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes;
there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying;
and there shall be no more pain,
for the former things have passed away." Revelations
21:3-4
As I read this passage it makes me wet to think that God and I will
be properly reunited in Heaven as wife, lover, confidant and
friend. Will we redecorate? Add new furniture? Have His and Her
accessories? Walk hand in joyous hand on the countless beaches?
Copulate in the open air? Will I have my period in Heaven or will
the red curse miraculously cease? Will I be regulated to Wife and
drudgery? These thoughts swim maddeningly through my mind and
leaves me breathless as I walk serenely in St. Winifred's Gardens.
I imagine too that there will be little statuettes with gigantic
phalluses, figurines anatomically correct with well-endowed
enhanced attributes and portraits of Him scattered in every
mansion, palace and city of Heaven. What a joy to be constantly
reminded of He who Lords it over us absolutely with His almighty
presence and imagery everywhere!
I can hear wedding
bells.....
Knowing that I, my bridesmaids and over the top entourage in Christ
will one day shed our mortal coils and walk the heavenly Gardens of
Infinity to God's Matrimonial Temple leaves me restful in spirit
and yet gushing with anticipation. Just imagining the dulcet tones
of those serene faery cherubim tirelessly playing their harps,
which doesn't quite drown out the discordant chorus, or the wailing
and gnashing of teeth of the damned. It just makes me giddy and
fills my heart with spiritual glee bringing me ever closer to
Him.
Bless you Lord for being a faithful
celibate and watchful husband to be.
"I give them eternal life, and they will never perish.
No one will snatch them away from me,
for my Father has given them to me
and he is more powerful than anyone else.
So no one can take them from me." 1 Corinthians 15:19-20
The ungodly claim that Heaven must be an obscenely boring place
where the Faithful praise God, unceasingly massaging and placating
His tyrannical ego. And like the settlers of the New World of old,
the Godly will make sport and enslave the indigenous populace: the
Angels. This assumption is untrue of course and quite frankly
typical of non-believers and heretics. But... Of course the
Faithful will need valets, slaves, servants etc but I'm sure it's
written in the Contract that all this will be voluntary. After all,
we will be lording it over the angels and the faithfully weak in
Christ in one form or another. But this doesn't mean to say that
the Saints shall be lord and mistress, if anything it will be pure
democracy and equal rights for all concerned in the hierarchy of
heaven.
But I do think the pure in Christ should be pampered when they get
to God's sumptuous abode of abodes. After all we've been promised
fantastic jewellery to wear, new bodies and mansions to live in.
All new and just waiting for us "It is kept in Heaven for you, pure
and undefiled." 1 Peter: 4. I know that it will be one eternity
filled party in the House of God and I as His Bride will be the
Hostess with the Mostest!
Glory!
"I, the
Son of Man, will send my angels,
and they will remove from my Kingdom
everything that causes sin and all who do evil,
and they will throw them into the furnace and burn them.
There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Mathew 41-42
I expect there will be brief moments of solemn serenity when we
remember all those who failed to make it past the Pearly Gates and
watching the tribulation and End Days in surround will be a blast.
With knowing smug smiles on our faces which glow with an aura of
"we told you so" on them. Joy! And hearing our Lord recount many a
tall tale about his pre creation exploits, will be a dizzying
experience and a heady blessing.
And to think that we, the Godly, have our reservations and
that:
"Adultery, fornication, lasciviousness,
drunkenness, revellings and such like will not inherit the Kingdom
of God." Galatians 5:19-21.
Why? Because our conservative Lord just doesn't take kindly to that
sort of thing where He comes from, that's why. But what a blessing
it is knowing that our God is bigger, better, sexier, leaner,
meaner and more powerful than any other man made fiction invented.
Knowing that He uses "the same mighty power that he will use to
conquer everything, everywhere." I find that quite helpful and
comforting.
"This
world is not our home; we are looking forward to our city in
heaven, which is yet to come." Hebrews 13:14
Such a long wait though...
Be prepared!
