Leviticus 18:22 must be read in the context of the previous
verse
"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is
abomination." The "as with womankind" is not defined. It is
possible that it means to lie with in the passive sense, or it
could mean in the context of idolatry, in other words - with a
prostitute, or it could mean "by force," as the context of
Leviticus 20 suggests this possibility. The Bible does not suggest
the existence of rape, only the violation of property.
Leviticus 20:13 "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a
woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall
surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."
Previous to this verse is Leviticus 20:9 "For every one that
curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he
hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon
him."
As a society we have decided not to enforce either of these laws,
and many others in this chapter, including death for
adultery.
I Samuel 18:1 "And it came to pass, when he had made an end of
